Following the recent decision by the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB), which determined that none of the services provided by the railways are essential by law, CN railway is preparing for a possible work stoppage, potentially beginning on Aug 22nd, 12:01 AM EST.

In anticipation of this possible disruption and delays to your cargo, we are offering you the opportunity to request a change of destination (COD) at no additional cost. This proactive measure aims to help mitigate any potential delays in receiving your shipments during the potential strike period.

Should you wish to proceed with a COD request, please notify us at least 24 hours before the vessel’s arrival at Halifax, and we will arrange the COD free of charge. Please direct all diversion requests to ca.service@zim.com
