Equipment Shortage Surcharge (ESS)

Dear Valued Customers,

We would like to update you that due to equipment shortage in the Mediterranean area and to continue our good and reliable services, ZIM is updating the Equipment shortage surcharge from All West Med to All East Med & Black Sea ports, effective as of July 1st, 2024, until further notice, as follows:

FROM TO 20DV 40DV/HC
All West Med All East Med & Black Sea ports  $50 $100

The above charge is in addition to the applicable base freight charges, THC, bunker, and security-related charges which are provided in ZIM's Tariff Calculator, as well as other charges for additional services, local charges and contingency charges, subject to monthly review and update.
