New Guatemalan Regulations

We wish to update you about the new Guatemalan Congress regulations regarding customs processes, and to bring to your attention the very strict penalties for violations of these regulations.

We hope that this notification will assist you in planning your shipments to Guatemala accordingly:

1.Import manifests must be electronically transmitted to Customs at least 24 hours prior to the shipment's arrival.
2.All Bills of Lading must be freighted.
3.Consignee information on the Bill of Lading must be doubled checked and confirmed by the shipper. Any differences in the actual fiscal address or the name of the consignee will carry a penalty from the Customs authorities.
4.Gross weight must be in kilograms.

We kindly request that you make every effort to avoid any violations as they carry a minimum fine of 250USD.
