ZIM Cross-Atlantic Services Restructure

Dear Valued Customer,

We would like to inform you that ZIM is restructuring its Cross-Atlantic Services linking the Mediterranean with North and South America. The updated structure of the service, set to take effect as of February 2025, will enhance service offering by establishing two weekly service strings, one focused on direct routes from Mediterranean ports to Canada and the U.S. East Coast, and the other covering Latin America and the Caribbean via Kingston, Jamaica, connecting our extensive feeder network.

The purpose of the new service structure is to maintain our Cross-Atlantic wide geographical direct coverage, incorporating additional key export ports in Turkey and Italy while expanding scope to the West Coast of South America and the Caribbean. This new service structure will ensure both a reliable and efficient service to meet growing customer demand, and reflect our ongoing commitment to optimizing our network.

The above service restructuring also applies to the MGX & ZCI services which will no longer be part of ZIM’s network. However, the restructured ZCA and ZCT will cover most of the MGX & ZCI lanes, introducing direct connections from Livorno to Halifax; from Marmara and Aliaga ports to Port Everglades; and a connection to Mexico and Houston via Kingston using our feeding network. The exact final vessels and voyages will be provided in a separate message once schedules are finalized.

The two restructured services will operate under the following routes:

ZCA New Rotation (9 vessels):
Mersin – Ashdod – Haifa – Piraeus – Livorno (ZCA/ZCT WB connection) – Genoa – Barcelona – Valencia – Halifax – New York – Norfolk – Savhanna – Kingston (Hub) – Valencia – Barcelona – Mersin.

ZCT New Rotation (8 vessels):
Kumport - Izmit – Aliaga – Salerno – Livorno (ZCA/ZCT WB connection) – Tangier - New York - Norfolk - Savannah – Port Everglades.

The operation of the new structure is subject to the execution of a new operational cooperation agreement with Hapag-Lloyd and receipt of all applicable regulatory approvals. For further details, including regarding your cargo, kindly see our website www.ZIM.com or contact your local sales representative or our Customer Service teams, that are, as always, at your disposal for any inquiry.
