Following our previous advisory, dated November 27, 2023, addressing current security concerns in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, and in view of the increased operational costs resulted by relevant temporary proactive measures implemented, please be advised it has been decided to update ZIM FAK (freight all kind) freight rates from Asia to Mediterranean & Black Sea ports as per below:

• Effective December 13^th, 2023
  New freight rates:

• Above FAK rates apply only for sea carriage between above base ports. For further details on ZIM additional services and/or commodities kindly contact ZIM local sales.
• Please note that FAK rates are subject to security related charges, terminal handling charges and peak season surcharges which are provided in ZIM Tariff Calculator ZIM's Tariff Calculator as well as other charges for additional services, local charges and contingency charges.

• Kindly note that the rates provided herein do not constitute a price quotation. Customers interested in receiving a quotation and/or obtaining ZIM services are required to contact ZIM local sales.

Unfortunately, over the past week we have witnessed an increase in the level of the threat, and the above new rates, effective from December 13^th, are necessary in order to maintain our current level of services and reflect the steps we take to ensure the safety of our crews, vessels, and customers’ cargo, each of which remains our paramount concern.

We continue to closely monitor and evaluate the situation on a daily basis and will promptly update you on any future developments. Your understanding and continuous support during this challenging period are deeply appreciated, as we remain optimistic that normalcy will be restored in the near future.
