We would like to update you that ZIM is implementing an ILA Strike Surcharge for all cargo moving to or from US East Coast/US Gulf ports effective 10th of January 2025 (gate-in date) until further notice:

This surcharge is applied as a result of the additional costs and expenses to ZIM caused by a strike, work stoppage, work slowdown or other labor-related disruptions to operations at US East Coast and US Gulf ports and the potential congestions due to such disruption.

If no disruption occurs, the ILA strike surcharge will not apply.

The above charge is in addition to the applicable base freight charges, THC, bunker, ESS and security-related charges which are provided in ZIM's Tariff Calculator, (U.S. trades are provided in www.boterates.com User: ZfreA6 Password: Access16!) as well as other charges for additional services, local charges and contingency charges, subject to monthly review and update.
