Sanctions set out by the United Nations, European Union and USA

Zim strives to comply with the sanctions set out by the United Nations, European Union and the United States of America.

The strictly imposed sanctions in general including the sanctions on Iran are taken very seriously and we ask for our Customers cooperation in complying with these sanctions.
Therefore we would like to draw your attention to our Booking Confirmation Clauses which can be found here:
http://www.zim.com/knowledgecenter/pages/bookingconfirmationclauses.aspx

Furthermore we would like to advise the following:

•All parties in the B/L must be identified and confirmed at the booking stage
•Any commodity which is defined as restricted under these Sanctions will not be accepted.
•No commodity shall be shipped or be designated to Sanction Countries and no commodity shall be shipped if the Merchant (Including shipper, consignee and notify) is included in the Sanctions lists – therefore Sanctioned Countries and  Sanctioned entities may not be mention on the B/L, Including but not limited to the “Further Routing” field.
•We reserve the right to decline any shipment of sanctioned commodity or sanctioned parties
•Further if a Party is found to be included in the list of sanctioned entities or it was found that the destination of the cargo is to a Sanction Country after the shipment has sailed, we reserve the right to immediately discharge the cargo and return to the POL. Any and all costs and expenses which ZIM may incur shall be on the Shipper’s sole responsibility and account.
